The SE theatre program will host the Festival of New Plays Feb. 17-20 showing three 10-minute award-winning plays written by SE students.
Metamorfosis by Carlos Romero, You Find Out Who Your Friends Are by Cynthia Silva and The Visitors of a Dead Man by Marshall Thomas are the plays that will be showcased.
The Visitors of a Dead Man is about a man named Gage Carmona, who is murdered by six men and visited at his grave by three important people from his life. These people reveal things to Carmona that
he did not know. SE student Zachary Fernandez plays Carmona, and he looks forward to performing with his fellow cast members.
“I really enjoy entertaining people,” he said. “It’s fun to be on stage and connect with the other cast members.”
SE student Kaitlin McGhee, a cast member in The Visitors of a Dead Man, also looks forward to seeing the reaction.
“I want to see how the audience will relate to the play,” she said. “Hopefully, we can make a good connection with them.”

Drama assistant professor Paul Fiorella, who is directing the play, said he is excited for opening night.
“This will be some students’ first time acting,” he said. “After each play, the audience will be able to ask our cast members questions. I’m excited for the audience to see
the creativity of our students.”
Showtimes will be at 7 p.m. on the 17th, 7 and 8:30 p.m. the 18th-20th with a special 1:30 p.m. performance on the 19th. Tickets are free for TCC students and faculty, $6 for general admission and $3 for non-TCC students and senior citizens.
