SE Campus will hold a 3-on-3 hoops meeting 1 p.m. Thursday in ESEC 1511 to put together teams and to discuss the rules of the game.
Games will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday amd March 14 and 28 in the SE Campus gym.
The purpose of intramurals is to get students active while they have fun, said Jason Wooten, assistant professor on SE since 2002.
“It promotes activity, physical fitness, and it’s a good place to network,” he said.
Captains who already have a team and want to add another member to his/her team can do so in the meeting.
However, participants do not have to register as captains. Free agents can play as well. Free agents will form another team or complete a team.
Each 3-on-3 hoops game lasts 30 minutes or ends when one team reaches 20 points.
Upcoming intramurals are soccer in March and swimming in April.
The most popular intramurals are flag football and 3-on-3 hoops, Wooten said. He anticipates 3-on-3 hoops will have at least 10 to 15 teams.
