Only four people participated in SE Campus’ Closest to the Pin golf competition April 22 while the other 11 chose to play Wii golf at home instead.
The annual golf competition fell on Good Friday, a probable reason for the small turnout despite 15 people signing up.
“I didn’t realize it was going to be Good Friday when I made the schedule,” SE sports intramurals director Danny Aguirre said. “I’ll check for holidays next time.”
Ian Ussery came in first place with his golf ball being closest to the 110-yard pin, getting it about six feet away.
Ardis Harris came in second, Jonathan Crippen in third and Kamillae Jackson in fourth.
Ussery received a driver for the first-place prize while Harris received a bag of golf balls.
