Sept. 30 South Campus is screening McFarland, USA all day in the SSTU game room. The film is based on a story about a California high school’s cross country team that gets a new coach who brings out the students’ potential as both champions and teammates. Light refreshments are offered.

Oct. 5 South’s student activities will screen Cesar Chavez all day in the SSTU Living Room. The movie follows the true story of a civil rights activist who struggles to balance his responsibilities to his family and to the farm workers he fights for. Popcorn will be provided. Oct. 12 As part of South’s Hispanic Heritage Month Speaker Series, Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce CEO John Hernandez will speak 11 a.m.-noon in the SSTU Living Room.
