SE Campus will host a showing and discussion of the documentary Wonder Women! The Untold Story of American Superheroines 2-3:20 p.m. March 21 in the library classroom (ESED 1212).
In the session, students can learn about the advancement of female lead characters in the media.
The event looks at “the background on how women have traditionally been portrayed and how its changed with the re-emergence of strong female lead characters,” said SE library services assistant director Tracey Minzenmayer.
SE government instructor Marilyn Murphy will facilitate the discussion about how the documentary traces the development of the heroine Wonder Woman and looks at how other female heroines have been portrayed over the years.
