NE Campus will host an African-American Read-In noon-2 p.m. Feb. 15 in NSTU Center Corner.
Students and faculty will present poetry and reading selections from various African-American authors.
“It’s good for the English and reading departments because it shows how African-Americans have contributed to literature,” reading instructor James Branch said.
This is the third year TCC has held a read-in to celebrate Black History Month, and about 200 attendees are expected, Branch said.
Anyone is welcome to participate in the readings and can sign up in the writing center through Feb. 15.
The event is free, and no RSVP is required. Refreshments will be served.
