South and NW campuses’ student organization members welcomed students with Club Fests last week.
The events gave students an opportunity to connect with club and university representatives and receive
information on campus activities and transfer scholarships or admission requirements.
Club members helped new students find activities that might relate to their career fields and give them an opportunity to get involved in campus life.
South Women in New Roles director Triesha Light represented her program.
“We had about 200 students stop by to talk to advisers from UNT and other universities about transfer admission,” she said.
After meeting club representatives, students interacted with friends about which club to join.
One South student said she was considering the League of United Latin American Citizens because it offers scholarships and does fundraising for local groups.
