The TR drama club will hold a spring showcase 7-9 p.m. March 28 in the Energy Auditorium on TRTR’s fourth floor.
Club president Katie Hurrell helped create an evening show full of singing, dancing, acting and much more.
“I am expecting that the showcase will be very fun for everyone involved,” she said. “For many of the performers, this will be their first time performing on stage, and so there will be nerves.”
Hurrell said everyone in the drama club has unique and interesting talents and personalities. When someone suggested having a talent show, everyone seemed to back the idea.
“The atmosphere is always phenomenal, and creativity is always endless,” she said.
Hurrell said the showcase will be a great way for people to get together and meet other people with common interests and goals. The free event is open to all TCC students.
Drama instructor Douglas Davidson said he is impressed with the drama club members’ energy and enthusiasm.
“They are not only performing in the showcase, they have also produced and directed it,” he said. “They initiated the project, organized auditions, selected the acts, ran their own rehearsals. It’s a wonderful opportunity for the Trinity River community to enjoy the work of these talented and hard-working performers.
