A NE Campus music instructor will give students a musical look through rock ’n’ roll history in Rockumentary March 10.
Warren Dewey, who teaches an American Music class, believes that “nothing compares to a live concert performance.”
Students can expect to gain a better understanding of the chronological development of rock ’n’ roll music.
This session will count for Music Appreciation students who are expected to go to a live concert.
Rockumentary will focus on rock ’n’ roll from the 1940s to the 1980s.
Examples of the songs to be performed are Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode,” Elvis Presley’s “Jailhouse Rock,” Jimi Hendrix’s “Manic Depression” and “The House is Rockin’” by Stevie Ray Vaughn.
Rockumentary will begin at 7 p.m. in the Darlage Center Corner (NSTU 1615A).
“It is rare to experience live music by such a versatile group of studio musicians,” Dewey said.
