The Chamber Strings Spring Concert will be performed March 11.
Hsinyi Wang, NE associate professor of music and instructor of the Chamber Strings classes, has invited H.P. Benson Lee to conduct this concert.
Wang said this concert will feature the style contrasts between three different eras: J.S. Bach (baroque), Wolfgang Mozart (classical) and Gustav Hoist (20th century).
The strings students will perform many historical pieces and reveal the different styles of music played during the classical period.
“It’s a great concert, fun, and has upbeat music with some Irish flair,” Wang said.
For anyone who has a love for music or who is currently taking or planning to take Music Appreciation, this concert will provide a sneak peek of what it’s like to be a part of this experience and gain a better understanding of the different styles of music, Wang said.
“The concert is about an hour long with free admission, and it’s a perfect way to start your spring break,” she said.
The event will be at 5 p.m. in College Hall (NACB 1111) on NE Campus.
