Pet owners took a bite out of cancer at the first Bark For Life ofNorthern Tarrant County.
Twenty-one dog owners and 11 teams of volunteers gathered together Nov. 17 on NE Campus to celebrate the inaugural event that featured a walk, contests, games, food and more for dogs and their respective owners.
This Bark For Life event, a subsidiary of the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life, raised about $600. That money will go toward cancer research, medical care and cancer awareness.
