Students looking to balance college and relationships are the focus of Successful Relationships, noon-2:30 p.m. Feb. 9 in NSTU 1615A on NE Campus.
This workshop is presented by English instructor and author Shewanda Riley.
After writing her book Love Hangover on getting over bad relationships, Riley became interested in helping young people make good choices concerning their relationships. She said she feeds this desire by hosting various relationship workshops and an annual conference in Dallas inspired by her book.
“Students often come to a crisis in their relationship when they let go of that relationship or let go of their studies,” she said.
This interactive workshop will answer students’ questions on how to cope with both. Riley will focus on an audience of singles before they make the commitment of marriage.
Riley said students will leave her presentation with useful information.
“Students will know they have the right tools to make good relationship decisions and can decide what to do with them from there,” she said.
