Now-Dec. 6 The NW gym will hold the NWellness Fall 2013 Fitness Challenge for faculty and staff. The theme is Fitnopoly. Each visit to the gym is rewarded with a sticker. To win the game, participants must collect 40 stickers. Participants will also randomly draw a chance card for instructions, rewards or penalties. Now-Dec. 13 The NW gym is hosting the Early Bird Workout Hour 7-8 a.m. Monday-Friday. The workout hour is for faculty and staff only. Nov. 20, 21 The NE Campus flag football tournament is scheduled 2-5 p.m. Tournament participants will meet in the gym and then move outside by the tennis courts for the games.

Nov. 22 NE Campus will hold a 5K Turkey Trot at 12:45 p.m. Runners will need to donate at least two canned goods for the registration. Sign-up for the event is in the NHPE gym. Participants will meet at the track outside of the tennis courts the day of the race. Most NHPE instructors are offering extra credit for anyone who completes the event.

Nov. 22 SE Campus will host an open swim meet at 1 p.m. Events will include the breaststroke, medley, two-stroke medley and a big splash contest. Prizes will be awarded to winners of the athletic and beginner levels. Sign-up will occur the day of the event in the pool area. Nov. 22, Dec. 6 Take part in NE Campus’ Wellness Initiative during the Friday Morning Walks 7:45-8:15 a.m. Maggie de la Teja, vice president of student development services, will lead students in a weekly walk along the jogging trail near the tennis courts.
