NE Campus will offer a seminar 12:30 p.m. Feb. 3 on getting familiar with CampusCruiser.
Leigh-Anne Regenold, NE academic support services coordinator, will help students learn to use the application more effectively.
Regenold said students will learn more about CampusCruiser and their classes, including how to work in teams, check their grades, submit an assignment and even chat with other students.
“The whole idea is to help students be more successful,” she said. “I’ll work through the program during the event.”
For students to get a better understanding of CampusCruiser, Regenold is asking one of her students to go with her and help explain because teachers view this Web site differently from students.
“We don’t always see what students see,” she said.
Regenold has sent e-mails to faculty members.
“I offer my students five extra credit points on an exam if they come,” she said.
Director of student activities Paula Vastine posted this seminar on the TCC Web site’s calendar.
“We make up calendars and then do fliers from that on each event,” she said.
Vastine said a similar event was held last semester.
“It’s a helpful tool for students,” she said. “Only NE is doing this event, but we definitely like students from other campuses to come.”
