A solo guitar concert featuring music from the Renaissance period through the present with just a dash of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” will be Feb. 11 on NE Campus.
NE music instructor Jan Ryberg, a classical guitarist, will perform the concert in College Hall (NCAB 1111) and will last approximately one hour.
NE humanities instructional associate Tricia Asher said students would be amazed at the beautiful sounds that can come from a guitar.
“Jan is not only technically great at the guitar, but he is a fine musician, and the music is beautiful,” she said. “I think if students haven’t heard live music, they are in for an experience. And a concert by Jan Ryberg is a great first live, unamplified performance.”
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m., and Ryberg welcomes anyone who wants to attend.
