CD Review-Ayo: Joyful

CD Review-Ayo: Joyful

By Sara Pintilie/entertainment editor

Ayo Joyful (4 stars)
ayoAyo has a gorgeous, sultry voice, and Joyful is a great showcase of what she can do vocally.

This soul/reggae/folk debut is a very serene and genuine debut.

She sounds like Norah Jones or Joss Stone, but takes that likeness and makes it her own.

Her music is laced with a European sound that creates a great atmosphere when listening to this CD.

“Down on My Knees” is an affecting track, and “Only You” is a great, breezy song with reggae charm.

Joyful is a simple but refreshing album from this European musician, and let’s hope all her future albums will sound like this.
