Students can learn how to get an edge on other job applicants in a presentation by NE career services coordinator Sandra Walker March 31.
Resume and Cover Letter Development will be held 11 a.m.-12:20 p.m. in The Galley (NSTU 1506A) on NE Campus. The presentation will feature both straightforward instruction and interactive exercises.
Attendees can learn the 10 basic tenets of resume and cover letter construction during the workshop and ways to successfully present themselves to get the career they want, career services administrative assistant Vicki McCleery said.
“One resume and one cover letter does not fit all,” she said. “ It’s important to take the time to get the employer’s attention and attendees will learn more than basic tips.”
McCleery also said the presentation will include methods to pique an employer’s interest.
