Students busily browsed racks of gently used clothing at “Pop-Up Closet: Fit Check,” a free event hosted by NE student services in NSTU on Aug. 17.
Student worker Eannah Jones hung new items for students to take home for themselves and for loved ones. She said she was happy to give students the opportunity to choose from donated items. Free shirts were also available to students at the event.
NE student Patrisha Marrero attended the pop-up event because she was interested in exploring opportunities at TCC and becoming involved in the community.
“This especially serves people who provide for their kids. Students get to choose something new for themselves on the first day,” Marrero said.
