TR Campus’ student development center will host the LGBTQ+ Resource Fair Oct. 24 to assist students with resources available to them.

The fair, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on TRTR Main Street, will provide students with help both on campus and in the community, said student development associate Cortney Walden.

“Students should expect quick and factual information that will provide them with either formal resources for when they are in need or social ways they can get involved with other LGBTQ people in our community,” Walden said. “The resources available to students will be broad and cover mental health, social and academic resources, and HIV and STD testing provided by our campus library.”

Flyers will be available on individual tables on Main Street, where students will find organizations listed with information, Walden said.

“They will have information, giveaways and representatives from those organizations there to answer any questions,” Walden said. “It should be a fun and informative event that connects with local LGBTQ resources in the area.”
