For the fine arts department’s Third Thursday event, SE Campus will host a faculty music concert at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18 in the Roberson Theatre.
The concert will feature several different instructors with a special guest appearance from violinist Michael Shih with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. Playing with him on a concerto composed by Johann Sebastian Bach as a duet will be violinist Tzu Ying Chan and harpsichordist Ian Yeung.
Other faculty members include saxophonist Gregory Dewhirst, trumpetist Will Pratt and pianist Xiao Wang.
“Concert guests will enjoy an evening of excellent and exciting classical music by outstanding performers,” fine arts instructional assistant Rose Watson said.
Admission for TCC students, faculty, and staff is free with a TCC ID. General admission will be $3 with all proceeds going to music scholarships.
