Bootcamp held for health, fun

SE students will compete in a Bootcamp Challenge for health and prizes Oct. 4.

Anyone who wants to participate should arrive 10-15 minutes before the event start time of 1 p.m.

“There are 10 obstacle courses that will be arduous and will not run more than five minutes,” said assistant coach Christina Henley.

Henley and coach Shahzad Nazir will monitor and assist the participants for the full-body workout challenge.

“A nice prize will be given to the male and female winners of the challenge, and runners-up will receive a gym bag,” Nazir said. “Making a challenge is not to discourage you. It’s not like a 5K.”

Before the hourlong event, both instructors will demonstrate what is expected, and then participants will compete two at a time.

Everyone who participates will receive a free TCC intramurals T-shirt, and water will be available. Participants can receive extra credit in some health or physical education classes.
