TR health, wellness clinic to teach stress relief tools

By Joshua Knopp/managing editor

The Art of Living foundation will hold a health and wellness clinic Nov. 18-20 on TR Campus.

The clinic will begin 6:30-9:30 p.m. Friday and continue 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

John Osborne, former chairman of the U.S. Art of Living chapter, will teach breathing techniques, low-impact yoga, skills to improve relationships and tools to handle negative emotions.

TR reading instructor Christi Duque has been through the program and recommends students take it if they can.

“I loved it,” she said. “It kind of helps us live in the present moment instead of being ruled by the past and future.”

Depending on student turnout, Duque said, more sessions might be held in the spring.

Students, faculty, staff and the general public may register at secure.artofliving.org/courses.aspx with a registration fee of $250.

Call Christi Duque at 817-515-1367 for more information.
