TR welcomes youngsters for a safe Halloween event

Families can Trick or Treat Down Main Street beginning at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 24 on TR Campus.

For the third year, faculty, staff, clubs, organizations and student groups will play games, set up tables and pass out candy for children to start their Halloween in a fun, safe environment.

Cortney Walden, TR student development assistant, said it is a fun event that typically draws about 1,000 people.

“Those who are attending the event will park in the parking garage, and they will make their way down Main Street, stopping at each table,” she said.

Both children and parents are encouraged to wear costumes, but they are not required.

Participants may enter from the third floor of the parking garage into the second floor of Trinity Building, which puts them on what is known as Main Street.

“We are expecting over 20 clubs, organizations and departments to participate and are hoping for a great turnout as we have the previous years,” Walden said.

This free event is open to students, faculty, staff and the general public.
