The defending dodgeball champ Arg-Mex struggled early but came back to claim its second straight SE Campus dodgeball championship Feb. 1.
“We came in with a little too much confidence since we won last semester’s championship,” Arg-Mex team member Luis Miliotto said.
The best-out-of-seven championship series started out in a tight race with the series tied going into game three.

their championship hopes on the line.
With their backs against the wall, the Free Agents came through in the fifth game to fight off elimination.
Arg-Mex quickly put an end to the Free Agents’ last push and finished them off to win the game and the championship four games to two.
Belén Vigil, a player on Arg-Mex, said she faced her greatest fear while she was out on the court.
“The most scary part about being out there was getting hit in the face because every time I play a sport, I get hit in the face,” she said.
One of the stars from the second-place Free Agents, Evan Swayzer, was just happy to be in the final round for the first time.
“It felt great playing in my first championship game,” he said. “Even though we didn’t win, we showed heart and pride and took the loss like men.”
The semifinal series started off with Arg-Mex facing the Mighty Ducks.
Arg-Mex had a tough time with the Ducks, but the team eventually pulled out a series win and moved on to the championship game.
The next semifinal match was the Red Donkeys versus the Free Agents.
The Free Agents had no problem beating the Red Donkeys, quickly defeating them four games to one.
