Chancellor Erma Johnson Hadley has announced an unspecified medical issue, according to an email sent to faculty and staff late Friday. After the Oct. 16 board of trustees meeting, Hadley told board members she would be dealing with her health in the coming days.
Here’s the text of the email:
“Dear TCC Family
Following last night’s monthly TCC Board of Trustee’s meeting, Chancellor Hadley shared news with the Board, the College leadership and the JCC that she has some health issues that she will be attending to in the coming days. Understandably, no other specifics were shared in respect for her privacy.
As she addresses her health issues she will continue her work with the CELT and the Board of Trustees, thanks in part to technology which makes that easy and possible. She noted that TCC has a highly skilled, experienced executive team and she knows that, as always, each of us will continue to work in the best interests of our students.
A personal word. . . With her trademark smile and determined look, Chancellor Hadley included with her comments to our impromptu gathering: “I am a fighter, and I’ll fight this health challenge all the way.” We all know her well and we expect nothing less. We know you join us in keeping her in your thoughts and best wishes.”
